Flyers and Leaflets – what’s the difference?
We find that customers use the words interchangeably which is why we have put them together here. In general, we would usually define leaflets as lighter, more disposable items, ranging in weight from 100gsm to 200gsm. Flyers tend to be heavier and more durable, with a higher perceived value – they are usually around 280gsm to 400gsm. Flyers are often produced with value-added finishes like Spot UV varnish and/or matt/gloss/soft touch lamination.
Digital printing or Litho printing?
It all depends on how many you need and how quickly. If you need 1000 or fewer, and you need them soon – say within a couple of days – then digital printing is definitely the right option for you. If you need a quantity like 5000 or 10000, and you can wait 3 days or more, it will be much more cost-effective to print the leaflets litho. The good news is, in terms of quality these days there is very little difference. Whichever printing method is used you’ll vibrant, hi-resolution flyers and leaflets

In a world full of digital ads, a well-designed flyer can capture attention and leave a lasting impression.
A Range of Uses
Flyers and leaflets are used by businesses and events across various industries and sectors in Glasgow. Local businesses often rely on these Flyers and Leaflets to announce openings, special promotions, or new product launches.

As the worldwide focus on sustainability and eco-consciousness grows, Glasgow is no exception to the trend. Many businesses and organizations are opting for eco-friendly printing options to align with the city’s commitment to reducing environmental impact.

Targeting the Right Audience
One of the strengths of flyer and leaflet printing is the ability to target a specific demographic or geographic area. In Glasgow, where neighbourhoods can differ dramatically in terms of culture and preferences, this targeting becomes even more crucial. Whether promoting a live music gig in the Merchant City or a vintage clothing pop-up in the West End, businesses and event organisers can customise their flyers to resonate with the unique characteristics of each area.
Community Engagement and Connection
Glasgow has a strong sense of community and camaraderie, and there are many local organisations, charities, religious institutions and neighbourhood groups. Flyer and leaflet printing not only serve as tools for advertising but also as instruments for fostering a sense of connection. Local events, from charity fundraisers to neighbourhood clean-up initiatives, rely on flyers and leaflets to spread the word and encourage active participation. In a digital age where face-to-face interactions can be scarce, flyers and leaflets are great tools that help bring people together.
